Slovak Post plans to issue a €1 denomination postage stamp on 14 February 2014 to mark the International Year of Crystallography. The design proof shows a two-part stamp with overall dimensions 66.1 x 26.5 mm. The stamps will be printed by offset lithography and will have a circulation of 3 million units. They were designed by Igor Benca, Dean of the Academy of Arts in Banská, Slovakia, who has designed several previous stamps for the Slovak postal service on sporting, cultural, religios and scientific themes, including a commemorative issue for the International Year of Chemistry in 2011.
