As part of the celebrations for the international Year of Crystallography 2014, the first Workshop on Crystallography in Albania was organized at the Tirana International Hotel in Tirana on 25 September 2014, with the collaboration of the University of Tirana and the Polytechnic University of Tirana. The workshop was held in conjunction with the XX Congress of the Carpathian Balkan Geological Association.
