Atomic Radio
Atomic Radio is a six-part radio series broadcasting stories from the long relationship between the arts and X-ray crystallography, featuring conversations with artists, designers and scientists, essays and original sound art inspired by crystallography. It is a part of the Resonance 104.4 FM Spring 2014 Science Museum residency, and is supported by the Science Museum Art Programme.
Each episode spotlights a different piece of art or design prompted by the science of atoms, and our guests include the scientists Stephen Curry and Brian Sutton, science writer Georgina Ferry, the designer Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg, artists Shelley James and Conrad Shawcross and many more.
Broadcasting on Fridays at 4.30 pm beginning the 23rd of May on Resonance 104.4 FM and online at http://resonancefm.com/listen.
The series is part of Emily Candela‘s AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award research between the Royal College of Art and the Science Museum and it’s made by Emily Candela, Chris Dixon, Emmett Glynn and Sam Conran.
